PHOENIX, Ariz. — Debra Sue Murray, 38, was the type of person who put everyone else’s needs before her own. Born on Jan. 23, 1960, in Ionia, Missouri, to Leonard and Ella Howery, she was one of several children born to the couple.
In 1998, Murray lived in the 700 block of West Shawnee Drive with her husband, Jack Murray, 43, and their 12-year-old son, Timothy.

Brookley was a stunning young woman, slender and petite with dark brown hair, blue eyes, and a beautiful smile.
But as many teenagers do, Brookley started using drugs and eventually became addicted to methamphetamine.

FORT JACKSON, S.C. — Fort Jackson is a 53,000-acre U.S. Army Training Center named after President Andrew Jackson, originally from South Carolina. The post was established in 1917 to train men of the 30th and 81st Infantry Divisions and formerly called Camp Jackson. It is adjacent to Columbia, the state capital.
