Lee, 63, owned a general store and was considered the unofficial “mayor’ of Parrish who helped the less fortunate. The couple was childless as Merrill Lee could not bear children.
HEFLIN, Ala. — Young mother Monica Fay Pritchett Rollins, 23, loved her children dearly and was excited for the arrival of her third child, a boy to be named “Cheyne.”
Rollins was a busy mom, balancing a full-time job and raising her two sons, Dalton, 6, and Aaron, 2. She had worked at a daycare called Kiddie Castle, Inc. until July 2002, when she accepted a higher-paying job at ITC Deltacom.

During her youth, she participated in several beauty pageants. At age 20, she won the Miss Western Suburbs beauty pageant, earning a spot in the Miss Australia pageant.
While Cobby had a promising career as a model, the beauty queen decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a registered nurse. She met her future husband, John Cobby, at nursing school, and they married on March 27, 1982.
HAYS, Kan. — Mary Lang was born on Sept. 23, 1952, to George and Lenora Lang and named after her grandmother. She has a brother, Paul, and two sisters, Kathleen Goeken of Shorewood, Illinois, and Barbara Jean Randa, now deceased.
